New Paints up for Advanced Order with GW. Dark Angels are in the Starter Set?
The new Citadel Paint Range is up for preorder on the GW Website. If you want to check it out go here. Just looking through the new range briefly let me say it is a bit overwhelming. The sheer number of Blues in the "layer" category is nearing the ridiculous. From a first glance it looks like a few of my favorite paints may be gone. Necron Abyss, the very dark blue in the Foundation range, seems to be gone. I use this as the base for my GK force swords, and free hand painting that uses Space as a background, so I will either be stocking up or finishing that army and free hand projects soon! On the upside there is finally a good batch of pinks and hopefully some yellows that will provide good coverage. It may sound silly to some of you but the resurgence of Pink and viable Yellows has me hoping that GW will be making Emperors Children and 1k Sons good again!
Anyone notice the guys on the cover of the new paint set? Looks like the rumors about Dark Angels being in the starter set are true, now just to hope the rumors about Chaos being the other side are true as well...

Ard Boyz, the End of an Era.
According to the reliable rumor mongers over on Dakka GW has officially canceled Ard Boyz. The two main guys at GW in North America who were in charge of organizing the events are now gone and the tournament many of us loved, and a few trolls hated, is not coming back this year or ever according to GW. Good bye to Ed Spettigue who worked at GW N.A. for something like 20 years, you and Ard Boyz will be missed.
This doesn't bode well for 6th edition in my mind but GW hadn't been paying any real attention to Ard Boyz in several years. From the continuing decline of good final round prize support to the terribly written missions; I wish I could say this was a surprise.

New Poll: The Problem with 40k
So here is the basic premise, the poll is on the right hand side. Do you think the real problem with 40k isn't that GK are Over Powered but that the other codices are under powered because they are poorly written?
Yes, No, Other? If you select other I, and I am sure anyone else reading this, would like to hear your thoughts as to what the other may be.

I Finished! Now We're Off to the BAO.
Well I managed to finish the models I need for the couple lists I am taking with me to the BAO. I will probably decide on a list on the car ride up. If you didn't see the other post there is a quick run down after the break plus some pics and a short discussion on what I am expecting from my trip to the Bay Area Open this year.
