New Poll: Warmachine, What is With That?

Hey everyone!

We've had a solid influx of Warmachine/Hordes content over the last couple weeks as new contributors have come on board and the basics articles have started flowing out. What do you think? Does Warmachine sound like a game you'd give a chance, or not give the time of day?

  1. I have loved all of your articles both on Warmachine and 40k. But to be honest, if I had not been just starting Warmachine I would have never found your site - so I say keep them coming!

  2. Having played 40k now for over a decade (since earliest days of 3ed - '97?, '98??), I find the Warmachine/Hordes game is fun to dabble in for a few months or so (before finding my way back to 40k). WM/H definitely has its differences from 40k, so its a nice refresher now and then. YMMV.

  3. I find Warmachine/Hordes to be a great alternative to 40k/Fantasy Battle. The costs are a little lower for Warmahordes than 40k, and much less than WHFB. It is a skirmish level game, and that is refreshing. The rules are interesting, the setting is interesting, and the figs are fun to paint.

So I say keep the articles coming.

  4. Well, so far my main issue with Warmachine seems to be the same as my issue with WHFB; the fact that I just can't find an entire army of minis that I like.

Now, that being said, I'm going to echo the 'keep it up' statements from everyone since I find that I really do enjoy these articles.

  5. Warmachine is a much better game (IMHO), but being a family guy, I don't get enough time and my boys like 40K/WHF so I will be enjoying that game right now. The figures are better in Warmachine as well. As time rolls on, I will be doing Warmachine over GW. The rules of warmachine are cleaner and the scenarios are rich. The other comment is the lack of finishing an army that I have seen of 40K/WHF players. When I go and see Warmachine being played, I can't find an unpainted army. When I play 40K/WHF, the armies are rarely painted. The ones that do paint only do one army. Although, that soon may change I am told.

  6. I found the site while looking for advice on starting a khador army, but I play tyranids too, so can't we all just mesh.
